Remove pages from any PDF with a visual thumbnail picker. Free, browser-based, no signup.
Why use this
Visual thumbnail grid: Every page is shown as a thumbnail so you remove pages by sight, not by guessing page numbers. Especially useful when scanned page numbers don't match the file's internal page index.
Range syntax for big cuts: Type 3, 7, 12-18, 22 to remove pages 3, 7, 12 through 18 and 22 in one go — much faster than clicking each thumbnail when you're trimming a chapter.
Bookmarks rewritten automatically: Bookmarks pointing at removed pages are dropped, and bookmarks for surviving pages are remapped to their new positions, so navigation stays clean.
Preserves the original: Removal produces a new file. Your source PDF is never overwritten on disk — safe to undo by discarding the new copy.
Browser-side: Confidential PDFs (contracts, medical records, internal reports) are trimmed locally — the file never reaches our server.
Use cases
Dropping a blank cover page that the scanner inserted automatically
Removing a duplicate page from a packet that fed through the scanner twice
Stripping a confidential appendix before sharing a contract with an external party
Trimming the sales pitch and pricing pages off a vendor proposal you only need the spec from
Deleting personal info pages from a bank statement before sending it to a tax preparer
How it works
Upload your PDF — Click "Select PDF file" or drag the document into the upload box. Thumbnails for every page render in a few seconds so you can pick visually.
Pick the pages to remove — Click thumbnails to mark them for deletion, or type a page range like 3, 7, 12-18 in the range field. Selected thumbnails get a red overlay so it's obvious what's about to go.
Click "Remove pages" — PDFWix rewrites the PDF in your browser, dropping the marked pages and rebuilding the bookmark tree so internal navigation stays intact.
Download the trimmed PDF — Save the cleaned-up file. Your original is never modified — keep it as your master copy in case you need to redo the removal differently.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Remove Pages and Extract Pages?
Remove Pages keeps the whole document and drops the pages you pick. [Extract Pages](/extract-pages) is the opposite — it keeps only the pages you pick and discards everything else. Use Remove for small cuts, Extract when you want a small subset.
Will my bookmarks and internal links still work?
Yes. Bookmarks pointing at removed pages are dropped, and bookmarks for the surviving pages are remapped to their new page positions automatically — no broken navigation.
Can I preview a page before removing it?
Yes — click any thumbnail to open a full-size preview. Always sanity-check before removing pages from a contract or legal document.
