Tips for spliting PDFs
Use ranges, not 'every page'
If you only need three pages, type the range (e.g. 4-6) instead of bursting and deleting. It's faster and the output is one file, not a ZIP.
Bursting? Expect a ZIP
Splitting into individual pages produces one PDF per page bundled in a single ZIP. macOS and Windows can both unzip it without extra software.
Re-merging is fine
If you split too aggressively, our Merge PDF tool joins them back. PDF page content is lossless across split → merge cycles.
Thumbnails are your sanity check
Always glance at the page previews before clicking split — page numbering and content order can be different from what file names suggest.
