Flip, mirror or rotate — which one do you need?
Mirroring reflects the picture across a vertical line, so the left and right sides swap. This is the fix for selfies, for scanned negatives, and for artwork that will be printed onto transfer paper. Flipping reflects across a horizontal line instead, as if the photo were upside down in water — useful for reflections and for correcting images captured through a scanner lid or a microscope. Rotating is different: it turns the picture without reflecting it, so text stays readable. If your photo is sideways rather than reversed, use Rotate Image instead. And if you only want to flip part of a picture, crop that part out first with Crop Image, flip it, and rebuild the layout in your editor of choice.
